New York Golf Economic & Environmental Impact Report

The Metropolitan Chapter is proud to be a member of the Empire State Golf Alliance, a coalition of 19 golf organizations representing club owners, managers, superintendents, PGA professionals, and industry partners working together to advocate for and advance golf throughout New York State.

As a member of the Alliance, our Chapter was pleased to help financially support the development of the New York Golf Economic & Environmental Impact Study. This collaborative effort highlights the significant contributions of the golf industry to New York's economy, communities, and environment.

The study demonstrates the impressive impact of golf across New York State, including:
$12.9 billion in economic impact, 89,000 jobs supported throughout the state and 103,000 acres of green space preserved.

These findings reinforce the important role that golf facilities and private clubs play in our communities and provide valuable information to help educate policymakers, community leaders, and the public about the benefits of our industry.

We encourage our members to explore the report and resources below and share these findings with their club leadership.
